January 27, 1936 – September 1, 2024    

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that on Sunday, September 01, 2024, with her children by her side, our dear Mother Wanda Edna Kivari passed into the loving arms of her Mama waiting on the other side. Wanda was 88 years old.  

Born January 27, 1936, in Tomahawk, Alberta, Wanda was the baby of the family and last surviving child of 10 children born to Pauline & Gustuf Rosin. At the age of 14 it was in the small town of McBride, B.C., where Wanda met the love of her life Andrew Kivari, married him at age 16 and together they provided a loving home for their seven children. Wanda’s children and grandchildren were the light of her life and her legacy.  

 Wanda is survived by her children: Allen Kivari – Kamloops, B.C., Katherine (Ray) Semrick – Kamloops, B.C., Randy (Sharon) Kivari – Kamloops, B.C., Carol (Steve) Bonham – Cranbrook, B.C., Gail (Chris) Dodman – Kelowna, B.C., Andrew (Teri) Kivari – Enderby, B.C., Rick (Denise) Kivari – Kamloops, B.C., 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren and by many nieces, nephews and very close friends.  

Brokenheartedly predeceased by her precious grandson Richard Kivari, her daughter-in-law Sharon Kivari and by all nine of her siblings.  

Remember Me 

Remember me with smiles not tears, 
For all the joy, through all the years, 
Recall a “closeness” that was ours, 
A love as sweet as fragrant flowers.  

Don’t dwell on thoughts that cause you pain, 
We’ll see each other once again, 
I am at peace… try to believe, 
It was my time … I had to leave.  

But “what a view” I have from here, 
I see your face, I feel you near, 
I follow you throughout the day, 
You’re not alone along the way.   

And when God calls you … you will be, 
Right by my side … right here with me, 
Till then, I’ll wait by heaven’s door, 
We’ll be united … evermore.  

To commemorate Wanda’s incredible journey and to celebrate the love she shared a Celebration of Life will be held on  

September 21, 2024
1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
