NELSON UMPHRESS
October 15, 1942 – April 11, 2017

On Tuesday Nelson passed away at home in his sleep at the age of 74 years. 
Predeceased by his parents Irma and Marshall Umphress and his sister Sandra Sokolosky. Dad is survived by his five children: Kathy Glassel, Sheryl Umphress, Shelvy Drummond, David Umphress and Jennifer Turick, his eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Nelson was employed as a Police Officer for 30 years, with the Nelson Police force, from 1972 until he retired in 2002.
Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 19 in the St. John Vianney Catholic church in Kamloops, BC.
