It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Steve Diep Tung To. Born October 1, 1973 and deceased March 24, 2017, Steve started his life with an inquisitive drive, disassembling and reassembling any mechanical device within his reach. At an early age, he also showed great artistic talents, from still-life drawings to creating imaginative action comic zines. His creative fortitude later manifested in music through collaborations with various bands. Although he was enthusiastic about his pursuits, Steve’s utmost priority was his children. Any mention of them would illicit tremendous pride and a fierce protectiveness. They were truly the light that guided his way through life. Steve is survived by his four children, Caleb, Damon, Shelby and Emilee; his sisters, Lily and Yen; parents, Diane and Khang; uncles, Sinh (Nga), Duong (Binh), Kien (Than) and Tuong (Linh); auntie, Linh; and many many cousins; as well as lifelong friends in BC and AB, who will miss his unwavering loyalty, humour and generosity. In honour of Steve, the To family will host a “Celebration of Life” service on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Rooftop Lounge of the Ramada Inn: 555 West Columbia St, Kamloops, BC.
