Stu Thomson
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Stuart Alexander Thomson on April 12, 2017 at the age of 77.
Stu will always be missed and longingly remembered by his three daughters; Dauna (John), Tracey and Krissy (Bruce), his wife Lynda, and her children, Jolene (Chris) and Jarrod (Chelsea) and extended family. Stu will be missed by his special granddaughter Carissa (Mike), great granddaughter Evelyn and many wonderful family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Frankie of 40 years, forever in our hearts.
Dad was born in Winnipeg on November 7, 1939 and raised in Victoria. While working in the forestry industry he moved his family around BC finally residing in Kamloops. Being very active with curling, baseball and of course hockey, he formed many wonderful friendships. A great sense of wit, he always had a one-liner to make you smile. Dad was a private man with quiet strength and great dignity, who lived by example and taught people the true meaning of being a ‘gentleman’.
A Memorial Service will be held at Schoening Funeral Chapel in Kamloops on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to Canadian Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
