October 9, 1948 – December 19, 2023

Tom was born in Bromley, England on October 9, 1948, predeceased by his parents Arthur and Cathrine Thompsett and beloved son Sean.

Eldest brother of John, Mary Ethel and George.

He grew up in Manchester, England where he found his love for football(soccer).

He emigrated to Ontario, Canada with wife Clare and daughters Sarah and Amanda.

After travelling across Canada, he settled in Vancouver in 1982 where he met Pauline.

They were married in Gibson in 1985.

Tom loved playing golf, darts at the pub and above all their annual trips to Mexico.

He was diagnosed with metastasized melanoma in 2021 and has been fighting it all the way, even earning the nickname ‘Tommy Nine Lives’!

He passed peacefully in hospice holding Pauline’s hand with his dog Stewart by his side.

Tom requested no service, but his ashes scattered at his favourite lake which we will do in the spring when the lake has thawed.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Kamloops Hospice – Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice in Tom’s name would be greatly appreciated.
