March 4, 1941 — October 19, 2023

Steve Gontar died on October 19, 2023, at the age of 82. He is sadly missed by his loving wife Pat, daughter Kelly (Matt), as well as many other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Paul and sister Mary Woods.

Steve enjoyed looking after his vehicles and admiring classic cars. Most holidays and vacations were spent on road trips to visit with family. Sometimes this involved adventures on bumpy dirt roads.

Steve’s fiddle and guitar playing was much appreciated at the seniors’ facilities in Merritt as well as at many local venues. He was always there to lend a helping hand.

There will be no formal service by request.
