July 3, 1995 – September 23, 2018
Though we are sadden to announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, the salmon are now at ease knowing that Norm “The Fish Slayer” Stelter in resting in peace. Norm, born July 3, 1955, passed peacefully on September 23, 2018 from his battle with cancer. A life time community member of Chase, he will be deeply missed by all including his long-time golf buddies, morning coffee companions, fellow “Rink Rats”, co-workers of Adams Lake Lumber (41 years), friends and family. Norm had many passions including fishing, golf and hockey, his love for his “pupper dogs”, but most of all his family. Norm had an amazing gift to make everyone he associated with feel like they were his best friend, this gift will be sorely missed by so many. He is survived by his wife Jean, son Kelvin (Tara), daughter Andrea (dog Maggie), grandkids Rylan, Mersaya, Kenzie, Donavan, Layne. Also survived by his sisters Maureen (Ray), Muriel, and many extended family members. He is pre-diseased by his father Ernest Stelter, and mother Alice Stelter. The family would like to send a big THANK YOU to all the doctors and nurses at RIH, as well as the staff at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice for all of Norm’s care.
