September 26, 1996 – May 6, 2016
Brody was suddenly taken from us on the morning of May 6, 2016, the day our hearts were broken beyond repair.
Brody was Born on September 26, 1996 in Prince Rupert, BC. He was 9lbs, 3oz and 22” with a full head of hair….he was a chubby monkey! He had always been surrounded by lots of love, he touched the hearts and lives of so many.
Brody had always been a very active boy. He played and tried so many different sports in and outside of school, hockey and lacrosse were his favourites, but lacrosse had his heart. He just loved playing and being a ‘Shuswap Outlaw’ in minor lacrosse and ‘Armstrong Shamrock’ in Jr. lacrosse. He will always and forever be our SuperStar #22.
Brody lived his life one day at a time, always dreaming and making plans for his future. He loved his family and friends with his big heart. Brody was a genuine, loving, kind, amazing and full of spirit, handsome young man with a beautiful soul and beautiful smile. Brody embraced every moment of life, happiness and fun.
He worked a few different jobs, still trying to figure out what his future career would be. He had so many plans and so many dreams. It deeply saddens us to know that he will never see his dreams come true or future plans fulfilled. Brody will always be treasured and remembered forever in our hearts.
Brody is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Lalena (Laney) Berg and Julius DiLeta; his siblings, Emily and Joshua Berg and Mason DiLeta; grandparents, Robert and Susanne Berg, Sal and Marlene DiLeta; great grandpa, Norvel Babcook; great nana, Maria DiLeta; uncles, Keith (Jennifer) Berg, Wayne (Haniea) Berg, Tom Southwell; and aunties, Viola (Johanna), Felina, Gail (Krista), Jilaine (Mike), Francine (Mike), Tammy, Tracey (Steppins), Erin, Cindy; and numerous cousins. He was pre-deceased by his grandparents, Richard and Eileen Southwell, and great gramma, Roberta Babcook.
In lieu of flowers, we are setting up a trust account to support Brody’s siblings with their dreams and future endeavours at CIBC in Salmon Arm.
Brody’s “Celebration of Life” will be at the Salmon Arm Community Centre, Friday May 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Please come out to help us celebrate Brody.
