August 18, 1965 – February 18, 2026 

Mr. Simon Gibbs, formerly of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, passed away in Kamloops, B.C., on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. 

Born in Gainsborough on August 18, 1965, before relocating to Canada many years ago as a young child and raised by Ron and Barbara Gibbs. 

Though he lived in Canada for much of his adult life, those who knew him will remember him for his mischievous traits and witty sense of humour. Ron and Simon shared a passion for motorbikes and many years at Motorcross. 

When I hear the song: Boys of Summer by Don Henley, one of your favourite songs,  I will remember you with fond memories Simon… your sister Sarah. 

Simon is survived by his mother Valerie Pacey his sister Sarah Pacey and Auntie Maureen, Auntie Marion and Auntie Joyce, Cousins Darren, Stephen, James, Zoe and Fay, and Nephew Curtis and Niece Libby. 

A private cremation has taken place in Kamloops on Tuesday, May 26 2026. 

In memory of Simon the family suggests a donation to CMHA the Canadian Mental Health Association.
