Sheila Mae Rice of Kamloops passed away on May 15, 2026, at 79 years of age. 

She is survived by her children Alana (John) Rice of Prince Rupert, B.C., Rick Rice of Kamloops, B.C., and her cat Millie along with her grand -puppies Bob and Doug, niece and nephews Lisa, Rod, Donald and Kavan. She is predeceased by her parents, David and Edna Tully, sister Merle Williams, brother Brian Tully, and nephew David Williams. 

Sheila was born in Penticton, B.C. to David and Edna Tully. She grew up running around the orchard, climbing trees and chasing snakes. Sheila trained as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at BCIT working in Victoria and at RIH in Kamloops until her retirement. Sheila spent many happy hours quilting and enjoyed many great hours with like-minded friends, especially Joanne. She adored cats and always seemed to have at least one around. Sheila was a kind and loyal friend but more importantly she was the best mum in the world and we will miss her sharp wit, thoughtfulness and unconditional love. 

A service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the BC SPCA.
