September 1, 1985 – April 18, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Matthew Gault. Born on September 1, 1985, Scott passed in spirit on April 18, 2025, and in body on May 4, 2025.
Scott was a passionate soul who lived life on his own terms. A lifelong Edmonton Oilers fan, he proudly wore the blue and orange win or lose. His love for music ran deep — from the heavy beats of Limp Bizkit to the anthems that carried him through tough times. Scott lived each day with fierce loyalty and intensity, often echoing his personal motto: “ride or die.”
He will be forever missed by his mother Pamela (Ray), brothers Cory (Helen), Zach, Nathan (Brittany), and by many other family members and friends whose lives he touched with his humor, stubbornness, and undeniable heart.
In recent years, Scott faced the heavy burden of addiction while living on the streets of Kamloops. Despite the struggles, his spirit remained strong. As a family, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to The Mustard Seed, Out of the Cold, and Substance Use Services in Kamloops for the care, compassion, and dignity they offered Scott when he needed it most.
Scott was more than his challenges — he was a brother, a son, a friend, a fighter, and a fan. He loved deeply, lived boldly, and left us far too soon.
There will be a Celebration of Scott’s Life on Sunday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Park, Kamloops.
You may offer a message of condolence at Schoening Funeral Service for the Gault family.
