July 26, 1927 – March 4, 2017

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Nora Scallon on Saturday the fourth of March.
Nora was born Noureen Pauline Carachelo on July 26th, 1927 in Revelstoke, B.C. Nora was the second youngest of a large family born to Antonio and Teresa Carachelo.
Nora was recently predeceased by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Brian. She leaves to mourn her children; D’Arcy (Shelley) Scallon, Teresa Scallon (Zane), Kathleen (Geoff) Battimelli, Gary (Helen) Gow, Linda Dusick and Sherry Work, her grandchildren; Vicki, Michael, Donna, Brian, Geordie, Meghan, Kate, Tessa, John, Thomas and Bryce. Also 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Also left to mourn are her two beloved sisters Victoria (Stu) Read and Edith Sherst, sister’s in-law June Carswell, Stella(Reno) Commazetto and brother’s in-law Francis and Joe (Mandy) Scallon. Nora was pre-deceased by sisters Mary and Ann and brother John. Nora also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 634 Tranquille Rd. Kamloops, B.C.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Nora’s memory to Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent St. Kamloops, B.C. V2E-2S9
