Barbara Savarella passed away March 7th, 2017 at the ripe old age of 90. Barbara is survived by her son Roy of Kamloops, BC, John (Sue) of Kamloops, BC, Les (Cary) of McBride BC, and daughter Linda (John) Brownlee of Kamloops, BC.

She is survived by her sister Vi. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Boris in April of 2003, her mother, Barbara Tihor, her father, Leslie Tihor, and her sisters, Irene Siki, and Julia, and one brother Leslie Tihor. Barbara was born in Hungary and moved to Saskatchewan as a child. She worked at different jobs until she and a friend moved out to BC, where she worked as a short order cook in different establishments throughout the province.

The family would like to thank Mom’s doctors, nurses and nursing students for their warm compassion and professional care; as they all said she was one feisty lady.

There will be no service, but a gathering at a later date to remember Mom; that was her wish.

Also thank you to the staff, and all of her friends, at Kamloops Seniors Village, where every time she came back, she would say “fooled you, I’m back again.”
