October 13, 1996– June 29, 2024

It is with great sadness and heartache that we announce the sudden passing of our son, grandson, father, nephew and cousin Salvatore Stragapede on June 29, 2024, at the young age of 27. 

Salvatore, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a profound sense of loss among family and friends. Born in Kamloops, B.C. on October 13, 1996, to Joe and Anna Stragapede, Salvatore was a cherished son, grandson, father, nephew, cousin and friend, who touched the lives of many with his kindness and warmth. 

He was a vibrant soul known for his infectious laughter, kindness and compassion. Growing up, he developed his love for creating art, fixing bicycles, and helping others. No matter what he did, he always approached life with enthusiasm and an open heart. Throughout his life, Salvatore touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity. He forged deep friendships and cherished his family dearly. Salvatore’s warm presence and ability to lift spirits in times of need will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His greatest accomplishment in life was becoming a father to his son Lorenzo. 

Despite the challenges he faced, Salvatore remained deeply loved by his family and friends. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him. Salvatore was predeceased by his grandfather Salvatore and is survived by his parents, Joe and Anna, his grandparents Nicoletta, Giuseppa and Frank, his son Lorenzo, his aunts Livia (Tony) and Francesca, his uncles Domenico (Francesca), Antonio (Maria), his cousins Natalina (Robbie & Amelia), Alyssa, Giorgia, Alessia, Claudia, Serena and Nicole who all miss him dearly. 

Although he may no longer be with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him forever. His spirit will continue to shine brightly through the memories and love he shared with us all. 

Salvatore, please remember these words from Noah Kahan “We ain’t angry at you love, you’re the greatest thing we’ve lost.” 

Please join the family for a funeral service on July 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. For the burial, the immediate family kindly requests the presence of family members only. After the burial, we welcome you to gather with his family at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Centre to celebrate his life with light snacks and refreshments. 

As an alternative to flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to the Kamloops Food Bank Society in honor of Salvatore’s memory.
