February 21, 1952– March 4, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Arthur Nourse on March 4, 2025, in Kamloops, B.C. at the age of 73. Ronald was born on February 21, 1952, in Penticton, B.C. to Willard Nourse and Helen Stacey.
Ron lived a full and meaningful life touching the hearts of many with his kindness, dedication and love for his community.
He grew up in New Westminster, earning a Masters Degree in Psychology at Simon Fraser University. He worked for North American Life Assurance with his father, Willard.
In 1982, Ron moved to Kamloops where he was an active Rotarian for over 30 years, always striving to give back and make a difference. He was instrumental in “twinning” the Kamloops Rotary with Uji in Japan.
His love for sports was undeniable – he played football at Simon Fraser University and was a devoted hockey and football fan. In addition, was involved with the development of the Kamloops Bronco Football Team. Beyond the field and rink, Ron had a deep appreciation for music and was a proud member of the Kamloops Rube Band playing tenor sax for many years.
Ron is survived by his sister, Kathryn Mace, and his niece, Laurie Mace. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Willard Nourse and Helen Stacey, his great-nephew, Corey Hamilton and his brother-in-law, Doug Mace.
Ron was a remarkable individual whose warmth, humour and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He will be remembered in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in Peace, Ron.
