1962 – May 24, 2025   

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my dear son, Robert “Rob” Kevin Banek. Rob passed away on May 24, 2025. 

Rob grew up in Kamloops, B.C. He participated in many activities such as swimming, therapeutic riding, social activities, and walking. 

Rob had a great love of animals – the donkey refuge was one of his favourite places.
Dogs and horses were a delight to Rob. 

Rob was predeceased by his father, Wilbert Banek, and his sister, Leigh Ann Eaton. He is survived by his mother, Mona Banek, many loving cousins, his aunties, and uncles. Rob also leaves behind his three group home buddies and his team of devoted and loving caregivers. 

A Service of Remembrance for Rob will be held on Friday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m. in the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Dr.
