1923 – 2018
With great sadness we announce the passing of Angie Roberge on Feb 22, 2018. Angie passed away at Ridgeview Manor where she resided for the past 4 years. Angie will be forever missed by her two sons, Jack (Lani) and Lou (Kristie) along with her family and the many friends she made over the years. She was predeceased by her husband Louis in 2005
Angie was from a large family of sixteen children, eight boys and eight girls of which Angie was the oldest girl. Her parents definitely knew the secret of how to keep warm during those cold Alberta winters. Angie met her loving husband Louis in Calgary, Alberta and they married in 1952. They lived in many different communities across Canada as Louis’ career in construction took them from one town to the next.
When Louis retired, he took Angie on many exciting journeys. Their Airstream trailer became their home on the road for the next 20 years until they finally returned to Kamloops to live out their golden years with family. Angie loved the winters that they spent in Mexico and the summers back home in Kamloops. She enjoyed traveling but her true passion was making Perogies and Cabbage rolls which were the highlight of many family dinners.
Our family extends thanks to the team at Ridgeview Manor. Angie could be a handful at times and had a bit of a stubborn streak. She always made sure everyone was put to bed and the doors were locked before she went to bed herself. She enjoyed helping out with small chores and she might have been under the impression she ran the place. The staff treated her like family and always had a kind word to say about her.
Arrangements are in the care of Drake Cremation and Funeral Services of Kamloops, BC. Condolences may be sent to the family at DrakeCremation.com
