Richard 'Keith' Bryson

September 11, 1934 — April 10, 2025

Keith Bryson of Kamloops, B.C. died on April 10, 2025 at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

He was born September 11, 1934, in Lytton, B.C. Keith grew up in Lillooet and Campbell Creek, B.C.

Keith went to high school in Kamloops, were he may have been expected to be the Valedictorian like his older brother and sister. That was not to be. Both his father and older brother died in separate accidents during Keith’s last year of high school. Instead of finishing high school he went to work helping to build the Trans-Canada Highway through Rogers Pass.

This was the beginning of Keith’s very successful career in construction. Where over the next 40 years he rose through the industry to manage major projects in both British Columbia and Alberta. Keith retired from the Construction Industry in 1990.

In his early 40’s Keith took up skiing, hiking, golf, and travel. He succeeded beyond his wildest dreams at golf and hiking, but had somewhat mixed results with skiing. Keith travelled with his older sister Helen, and her family throughout North America, New Zealand and Mexico.

His greatest passion in his retirement years was golf, where he was a long time member and 2005 Club Champion at the Kamloops Golf Club.

Throughout Keith’s life he was dedicated to his immediate family and many other members of the extended Bryson family. Keith was also a dedicated friend to the members of his coffee club until he died.

Keith is survived by his niece Susan Rowan, Paul Dickenson and their daughter Robyn Dickenson, Gary Rowan and his wife Mary Sue Rowan, and their children Max and Kate, and his nephew Mark Rowan, Maureen Lundell and their children Luke and Matt. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and his remaining coffee club friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents Norval Bryson, Susan Gibbons Bryson, his brother Gary Stewart Bryson and sister Helen Diane Bryson.

No service will be held at this time. Keith will be cremated in Kamloops B.C.  A stone will be placed in his honour on Pavillion Mountain.
