March 10, 1916 – November 13, 2016
After vibrantly celebrating her 100th Birthday on March 10, 2016, Polly had enough of these early ties and on November 13, 2016 passed away peacefully into the arms of Jack. Polly’s legacy leaves numerous lifelong friendships made while running the Quesnel Lake Resort, baking fresh buns for resorts guests as well as protecting them from wildlife. Polly was extremely hard worker which bodes her well for making it past the ripe old age of 100. Polly also vigilantly volunteered for many years for the Canadian Cancer Society. In her spare time, Polly took such pleasure working in her ½ acre garden. Into her late 90’s she was still helping others shoveling their driveways. Always a good neighbor and friend. Polly is survived by her daughters Mary and Charlotte and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Many, many thanks to Pine Valley friends and neighbors. Also thanks to Angie and all the staff at Pine Grove Lodge for the awesome care over the past two years. Flowers respectfully declined, donation may be made to a charity of your choice. There will be no service by request. Polly will be place to rest with her husband Jack at Williams Lake cemetery.
