It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jo-Ann Pauline Powell, of Logan Lake, BC, on June 18th, 2018, at 75 years of age. Jo-Ann is survived by her children Colleen Jean Dick (Roger Hertslet), of Logan Lake, BC, and Donald Gordon Edward Harrison (Shawna Leigh Balcers) of Calgary, AB. Also left to cherish Jo-Ann’s memory are her grandchildren Alicia (Kurtis) Lindsay, Jennifer (Shawn) Proulx, Tommi (Andrew) Bos, Kyla Jo (Gio Ramunno) Hertslet, and Nathaniel Harrison, great-grandchildren Tianna Lindsay, Hailey Lindsay, Vance Kerslake, McKayla Sampson, Avree Proulx, Kayden Bos, and Carter Bos, as well as sisters Teena Cartmill, Janet Vince, and Donna Pochadaj, and her mother, Pauline Pielech.
Jo-Ann was predeceased by her husband, James Powell, her father Joseph Pielech, and her great-grandchild Jayden Lindsay.
Jo-Ann was a very active member in her church, and the Logan Lake Seniors. The last few years have been very rough for her, as she dealt with pain daily. Jo-Ann will be missed by her daughter Colleen, and son Don, and by so many others who will miss a great debate. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Bonnie and Dirk Werring.
Go with God, Mom xoxo. You are at peace.
A Celebration of Jo-Ann’s Life will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 10th, 2018, at The Rock Church, Logan Lake, with Keith Owen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jo-Ann’s memory may be made to The Rock Church, or the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation.
