On September 18, 2016 at 4:30 pm our beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, left this world. He was 72 years of age.
He is survived by his three children: Steven Little Cloud, Annie-Rose Peters and Patrick Peters, god daughter Delyla (Brandon) Daniels, nephews (aka brothers) Allan Casimir, Russell (Rosie) Casimir, Clayton (Sherry) Peters, Dale Peters, George (Sue) Peters, Gerald Peters, Joey Peters plus numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents: George & Pauline Laquette, paternal grandparents: Peter & Maggie Peters, parents: Raymond Peters & Annie Peters nee Alexis, sister Lila Rose Peters and brothers: George Peters, Peter (Nancy) Peters, Patrick (Philomena) Peters, and nephews (aka brothers): J.P. Peters, Cordell Peters and Gary Casimir.
In his younger years he lived in the logging camp at Saddle Mountain and Kum-gen-natkwa (Schiedam Flats) where he did a lot of horseback riding. As he grew older, he moved to the main reserve and began riding a Harley and travelled throughout Canada, United States and Mexico.
He was a welder and carpenter by trade but an artist at heart, he did many carvings (i.e. 36 ft. totem pole at Matsqui, B.C.) and paintings. His claim to fame is meeting Elvis Presley and shaking his hand at the Seattle’s World Fair.
