October 7, 1931 – March 10, 2017

Marilyn passed away peacefully on March 10, 2017 in Kamloops, BC. She is survived by her children Mark (Leigh) and Wendy (Mark). Her pride and joy were her three grandchildren Riley, Madelyn and Nicholas. She also leaves behind many family members and friends, including our extended family – the Andersons and Hurds.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years Richard, brother Art and sister Adeline.
Marilyn was a happy, compassionate, kind and loving person who wanted the best for her family and those around her. She demonstrated her conviction to help people with her nearly 40 year career as a nurse – most of which was spent on the maternity ward at Royal Inland Hospital.
She will be forever missed and remembered for the difference she made in the lives of her family, friends and all who knew her.
We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff at the Ponderosa Lodge, Royal Inland Hospital and Berwick on the Park.
A memorial service will be held on March 25, 2017 at 11:00 at Schoenings Funeral Service – 513 Seymour Street, Kamloops.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in honor of Mom to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation- Labour and Delivery / Maternity Ward.
