April 9, 1957 – March 25, 2017
Rick O’Day passed away peacefully at Kamloops B.C. on March 25 2017 at the age of 59.
Rick is survived Lovingly by his Wife Cheryl, sons Shane , Lucas , Cody and Granddaughter Abbey.
Sisters Kathy ( Steve) & Lorry O’Day, Ronda Blais Brother Graham ( Lynette ) O’Day
Aunt Katherine Young , many Nieces , Nephews and Cousins
Also his many Sister In-laws and Brother In-laws and Friends
He was predeceased by his brother Alan O’Day ( 2016) Parents Audrey MacDouall ( 2006 ) and Ronald O”Day ( 2004 )
Rick was born Ronald Patrick O’Day on April 9th in Vancouver BC …………being a Jr he was always known to everyone as Rick .
He lived in Kitsilano until grade school than shortly after moved to Surrey ( Hamilton Harvey area ) and attended Mary Jane Shannon Elementary
Some years later he moved with family to Cloverdale BC and attended high school there.
At the age of 16 Rick went to work for Inca Stone as a Labourer in the shop, moving on to making Imitation stone .
From there his career in becoming a Stonemason started and he succeeded in becoming a Master at stonework working through out BC and Alberta and being very successful at it.
He married Cheryl in 1989 and together they raised their family.
He was a good kind caring husband and father always putting the needs and safety of his family first
Rick believed strongly in giving to others and donated to many different Charities.
He will be forever in our hearts and sadly missed by all
