It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vera Nolan, of Kamloops, BC, on July 20th, 2016 at 72 years of age. Vera is survived by her loving husband Patrick Nolan, children Sean (Keara) Nolan, of Albany, NY, and Boyd (Paula) Nolan, of Kamloops, BC, grandchildren Ze Nolan, Ethan Nolan, and Ella Nolan. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Lynn (John), Helen (Gary), and Emma, and brothers Willie, and Albert (Georgina), as well as numerous other relatives.
Vera was predeceased by her father William Laslo and mother Helen Laslo, and her brothers Frank, John, Andy, Bernie, Tony, Ernie, and sisters Julia, Anne, Margaret, Elsie, and Rose.
Vera was born in Saskatchewan; Sec. 17, TP. 27, RGE. 16, W. 2, SK. She was raised in Mission, and started her working career in Vancouver working as a secretary for different lumber companies. Vee met Pat in Van, and eventually moved to Kamloops in 1970. She continued working for lumber companies, and then court reporters, and finally had her own business doing appeals for different law firms. We have lost a beautiful, loving, and caring person. Vee loved, and was so proud of her sons. Her grandchildren were very special, and she missed not being able to see Ze in NY as much. She will be remembered and loved by all that knew her.
Remember, “sometimes you don’t know what you have until it’s gone.”
Love you forever, Vee. – “Paddy”.
There will be no formal ceremony, and a gathering of family & friends is to be determined for a later date.
Special thanks to the Marjorie Willoughby Hospice, and Dr. Dong, and Dr. Curry. Donations in Vee’s memory may be made to the Kamloops Hospice.
