1927 – 2016

Rose Ebl New of Kamloops passed away on September 30, 2016 at 89 years of age.

Rose is survived by her children Tom (Karen) New and Valerie (Jim) Kershaw all of Kamloops, grandchildren Michael New, Charles New, Mark Kershaw, Kyle Kershaw and numerous great grandchildren, niece – Rosemary, Nephews – Doug, Joe, Gord, Fred, Bill, Leonard and Greg along with numerous great nephews and nieces as well as great-great nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by husband Bob New and sister Emily Filek.

Rose was born in Nordeg, Ab. September 4, 1927 to Joseph and Rosie Fabry. She moved to Luscar Ab, then to Kamloops at age 10. Rose completed her education at St. Ann’s Academy.

She married Bob in 1965 and worked for the Government Agents office until 1966 when she retired to look after her new family.

Rose loved dancing, gardening, fishing, bus trips to Reno and walking around McArthur Island. When the yard work got too be too much Rose and Bob moved to the Shores Retirement Residence where she lived until recently moving into the Renaissance.

Rose was a beautiful, loving woman. Small of stature with a huge heart. She will be greatly missed.

Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday October 5, 2016 at the OLPH church.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday October 6, 2016 at OLPH church.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to OLPH Church.
