August 12, 1952 — December 28, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Murray Case on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at his home in Kamloops.
Murray was a loving father to Tyler Case (Nadine Hanna) and a proud grandpa to Emmie Case, with a grandson on the way. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Case, in 2023 and his father, Ervin Case.
Murray will be missed dearly by his mother, Florence Case, and his siblings Carrol (Bob) Chace, Shirley (Ron) Fabbro, Pearl (Jerry) Dillman, and Phil (Dianne) Case. He will also be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Murray was born in Kamloops, B.C., on August 12, 1952. After a short time on Galiano Island, his family returned to Kamloops, where he lived the remainder of his life. Murray was very proud of his career as a heavy equipment operator and loved to share stories from his time working on many roads throughout B.C. Murray had countless hotrods and muscle cars over the years before he finally acquired his dream truck, a 1934 Ford pickup, which he spent hours rebuilding. Murray was also very proud of Tyler’s car racing career and enjoyed going to many of the races where Tyler worked as crew chief.
Murray was a friend to many and never passed up a moment to visit and have a drink with someone.
Murray’s family would like to thank his many friends, family, and doctors for all of their support and care over the past years.
As per Murray’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal service. A celebration of life will take place at Tumbleweeds Pub in Dallas on Wednesday, January 8th, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
