October 12, 1937 — July 19, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of my beloved grandmother, Mien Thi Tran.

She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Tam Viet Phung, a loving mother to her eight children; Huan, Hien, Lien, Luong, Lan, Thuy, Them and Tuyet, and a doting grandmother to her twenty-three grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Mien lived a life of love, kindness, and generosity touching the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who take solace in the knowledge that she is now at peace watching over us from the heavens above and reunited with her husband again.

The Phung family would like you to join us for the celebration of life of our mother on Monday July 24, at 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., to pay our respects, honor and celebrate the life of our beloved matriarch at the Schoening Funeral Home located at 513 Seymour Street.

Although we grieve the loss of our mother/grandmother, we find comfort knowing that she lived a long and fulfilling life surrounded by the love of her family. We kindly request your presence to offer your condolences, share fond memories, and join us in prayer for her peaceful journey.

Our family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Asim, our community nurses and the Royal Inland Hospital for helping our mother.

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you honor our mother’s memory by spreading love, kindness, and compassion to those around you.
