1943 – 2016

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jenny on September 4, 2016 at the Kamloops Hospice. Jenny passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She privately fought a ten-month battle with ovarian cancer with the utmost humour, strength and grace.
Jenny was born a Hoffman in Vernon, BC on November 8, 1943. She married John Michaud on June 18, 1966 in Vernon and raised her family in Kamloops. She enjoyed the months she spent with John at their winter home in California, with her kitties (whom she loved as equally as other creatures), and her novels.
Jenny is survived by her husband of 50 years John, son Rod (Sandi) of Federal Way, Washington, daughter Shawn of Kamloops, daughter Shannon Escott of Kamloops, and grandsons Adam (Amy) of Longview, Washington, Corey of Portland, Oregon and Brenden Escott of Kamloops. She is also survived by her uncle Harold Schultz (Donna) of Jasper, AB and brothers Wayne Hoffman (Karen) of Jasper, AB, and Gerry Wols of Vernon, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jenny was predeceased by her father Henry and mother Elsie in 2014.
Special thanks to Doctors Cribb, Peacock, and staff for their above and beyond care. We would also like to thank the staff at the Kamloops Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness.
