1924 – 2016
Laverne McLeod has ridden off to the greener pastures and is finally re-united with his beloved “Peg”. Laverne was born in Kamloops on March 14, 1924 to Evander and Myrtle McLeod and lived 85 years on the family farm in Westwold before moving into town. Laverne was pre-deceased by his wife Peggy in 2007 and his son-in-law Billy (Winston) in 2014. Also, pre-deceasing Laverne were his parents, Brother John (Jack) and sister Janice. Laverne is survived by his daughters Maureen, Tricia (Jim), and son Scott (Sherry). His grandchildren T.J., Navada (Denny), Slim (Leah), Kirt (Amanda), Quinn and Chad and great grandchildren Ryder, Leo, Jake and Carter. The family is so very thankful for his Westwold friends and neighbors, the staff and residents at Ridgepoint (Chartwell), Dr F. Malan, RIH 6S staff, and the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice staff. In Dad’s words, “My Party”, will be held at the Westwold Hall Saturday June 4 from 1 pm to 3pm. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kamloops Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice. “Happy Trails Dad” We Love You
