1934 – 2018
Robert (Bob) Wilfred McCubbin passed away peacefully with his family at his side on May 6, 2018 in Kamloops, BC.
Bob was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 7, 1934. He and Ruth married in 1959, and moved to BC where he worked most of his life in the insurance industry. He owned his own business in Richmond for many years, and later retired to Logan Lake, BC.
Bob was an avid curler and represented his province at the 1968 Brier. He also curled with his daughter, Sandy, in the Canadian Mixed Championship.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth McCubbin, daughters Sandy (Mitch), Debbie (Doug), his brother Ken (Dianne) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father Wes (Vi) McCubbin and his mother Mary (Len) Thompson.
There will be no formal service at Bob’s request.
