August 12, 1934 — August 22, 2023

Our mom, Maryanne Embree nee Tarves passed away August 22, 2023, at Kamloops Seniors Village.

Mom was 89 years old, born August 12, 1934, and the youngest of 7 siblings. Mom married dad March 28, 1959. They resided in Calgary shortly after they were married. They then moved to Vancouver Island and lived in Courtney/Comox and Campbell River.

They moved their little family of 5 in 1969 to the mainland, Ladner, B.C. where they continued to raise their children.

In 1994, mom and dad moved to Salmon Arm for a quieter, slower pace of life. Mom’s health started to decline December 2020 and with gracious acceptance, her and dad made the move to assisted living at Kamloops Seniors Village.

Mom often talked with enormous thankfulness the day Truth came to her mom in 1921. Mom made the choice to serve God when she was 18 and stayed true to that commitment rest of her life.

Mom was predeceased by her grandson Dalton in 1997.

She leaves to mourn her passing, husband Hector, daughter Janet and Bill, son Kenton, Shirley, daughter Laura and Ken, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, special nephew Ralph Eckford and many other nephew and nieces.

We would like to thank the staff at Kamloops Seniors Village and Dr. Wynne who lovingly cared for mom and our friends who visited.

There will be a Funeral Service, Thursday August 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Dr.
