October 11, 1945 — February 8, 2025

Mary Linda Edwardson, was born on October 11, 1945, in Kamloops and passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025. She was the youngest of parents, Cliff and Mary (Rigby) Piper. Linda graduated from St. Ann’s Academy in 1963 and continued with an education and career in business. She married Gary Edwardson at Sacred Heart Cathedral on December 27, 1969. She worked in a number of offices while living in various B.C. cities with her husband, Gary. When they came back to Kamloops in the late 70s, she volunteered for Western Canada Theatre in many capacities, and she worked for Town Ticket Centre, eventually owning the centre and lottery outlet.

Linda is predeceased by her husband, Gary; her parents and young sister, Judy; her brother-in-law, Leo Loehr; and Gary’s sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Dave Dhaliwal. Linda is survived by her sister, Joan Loehr and nephews and niece, Geoff, Regan, Kent, Joel, Jarett, and Mary; by her brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Rolande Piper and nephew and nieces, Jim, Lynette, Michelle, and Judi; and by nephews, Dean and Neal Dhaliwal. Many great-nieces and nephews and special friends, Odell, MaryLynn, Paula, and Glenys, will also truly miss her. Linda was a loving aunt and sister and often participated in special family events. Her great-niece, Izzy, was a comfort and companion to Linda in the last few years; they were kindred spirits.

The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 2797 Sunset Drive, Kamloops, on Wednesday, March 19, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery Mausoleum.
