August 29, 1952 – July 2, 2016
Tim passed away peacefully at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home on July 2, 2016, at the age of 63 years. He was born in Rossland, B.C. and moved to Kamloops with his family, at the age of four. Tim completed his education (gr. 1-12) in South Kamloops, and attended university in Vancouver. He decided to pursue a career as a realtor in Kamloops, and worked for thirty years as a member of the Canadian Real Estate Association. He retired in the fall of 2006 and enjoyed nearly ten years of golfing, fishing, travelling and having fun.
Throughout his life Tim excelled in many school sports, including baseball, hockey and basketball. In addition he took up golf at a young age at the Kamloops Golf & Country Club, and it remained a passion for him throughout his life.
Tim’s other great passion was his love of fishing, which he inherited from his mother, Blanche. They often spent time together during his younger years fishing in the creeks around Kamloops. This led to many wonderful adventures in the rivers, lakes, and coastal areas of B.C., as well as in Cuba, Mexico and Belize. Tim developed many great and lasting friendships though these fishing trips.
Lovingly remembered by his wife Carol, brother David, sister Terry (Len), niece Julie (Mike) and family, and nephew David (Nicole) and family.
Tim is predeceased by his mother Blanche MacDonald, father Donald MacDonald, and brother Paul MacDonald.
A very special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Hospice who provided such wonderful, compassionate care to Tim. They brightened his days and made his time there so much better. In lieu of flowers, please give generously to Hospice.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Schoenings Funeral Service, 513 Seymour Street, Kamloops, B.C
