October 31, 1955 — August 5, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and aching hearts that we announce the passing of Lorraine Debra Dickinson, on August 5, 2025, at the age of 69, after a long and courageous battle with illness, Lorraine passed peacefully with her family by her side, listening to her favourite artist, Bruno Mars.
Lorraine was born on October 31, 1955, in Saskatchewan to Donald and Gladys Kenway. A devoted and hardworking woman, she poured her love and energy into her family and friends. Her wisdom, strength, and kindness touched countless lives, and while her time here feels far too short, we are deeply grateful for every moment shared with her.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 44 years, Bob; her daughters Sondra (Jason) and Candice (Paul); her cherished grandchildren, Chloe and Darian; her sister Linda; her dear friend and partner in crime Fernanda and her furbaby Bella. Lorraine will also be remembered by extended family and the many friends whose lives she brightened with her warmth and humour. While words cannot fully capture the depth of our grief, we find comfort in knowing that she is now free from pain.
Our family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the Marjorie Willoughby Hospice staff for their care, compassion, and unwavering support in her final days. We are truly greatful to everyone who has reached out with love and condolences. The kindness shown to us, especially in these past few weeks, will never be forgotten.
In keeping with Lorraine’s wishes, no formal service will be held. Instead, we invite you to honour her memory by raising a glass of your favourite drink and recalling a happy moment that brings a smile to your face. Lorraine was the kind of person everyone wanted in their life—kind, strong, and endlessly loving. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to guide us. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorraine’s name to the Marjorie Willoughby Hospice House or the Kamloops SPCA.
