With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Patrick J Lindsay on December 11, 2016, at the age of 65. Patrick was born in Nelson BC on March 19, 1951 to Mary and Albert Lindsay. He attended LV Rogers High School, and continued his education at the University of Victoria.
Patrick is survived by Kathy, his wife of 42 years, sons Tyler and Colin (Alisha); grandsons Felix and Dominic; sisters Adele (Euclid) and Enid-Marie; brothers Mike (Brenda) and Bill (Heather), as well as a numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both his parents and his brother Phil.
Patrick retired in 2012. He golfed, traveled, and spent time with family & friends, always engaging them with his great sense of humour. Sports were always an important part of Patrick’s life whether it be coaching his sons’ little league games, stunning spectators as a “Power Forward” for his local men’s hockey team, or cheering on the Vancouver Canucks from his favorite spot on the couch. As a proud member of Valleyview Overlanders Lions Club, Patrick spent his time helping with many worthwhile community endeavors.
In his later years Patrick lived his life by the simple motto “Lead, follow, or get out of the way” and as the latter two did not apply to him, he led.
Memorial services will be held at Holy Family Parish, 2797 Sunset Drive, Kamloops, on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11:00am. Condolences may be sent to the family via DrakeCremation.com
