June 7, 1944 — October 26, 2025
Linda Claudia Hawley (née Beaumont) passed away on October 26th at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice. Linda is lovingly remembered by her children Janice Hendrickson (Darren), Michael Hawley, and Danny Hawley; her siblings Donald Beaumont (Nancy), Judith Coppins, Greg Colburne, Gary Anderson, and Brenda Smith; and her cherished grandchildren Brandon Hawley and Kelly Hawley. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by her children Ricky Martirano and Marty Martirano, and her sister Debbie Baille.
Born in Moncton, Linda spent much of her early life growing up in Montreal. She married the love of her life, Delbert Ivan Hawley, on July 1, 1972, and together they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Following their marriage, they lived in Richmond, then settled in Robson, BC, where they built a life and community. In 2008, they moved to Chase, which would become their home in later years.
Linda was known for her great sense of humour, her spunky spirit, and her generous heart. Her favorite flower was the carnation, and her favorite color was lavender. She had a deep love of gardening and canning, and she showed her love best through food—famous for her pies, cookies, chips, and countless homemade treats. She delighted in decorating her home for every holiday and making those around her feel welcome and cared for. A devoted animal lover, Linda adored all of the cats she had over the years and held a special place in her heart for her dogs, Charlie and Winnie. She was endlessly thoughtful—always sending cards, gifts, and kind words to family and friends—and would do anything to help someone in need. Linda was an active and valued member of her community, belonging to the Robson Evening Group, Chase Creekside Seniors, and the Chase Ladies Auxiliary Legion.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Community Nurses, Care Aides, and the staff at Parkside Assisted Living, especially Jesse, Lindsey, Pam, Nicole, Nicki, and Courtney, for the exceptional care, compassion, and love they showed Linda.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 12:30 p.m., at the Chase Community Hall, in Chase, British Columbia. All who knew and loved Linda are welcome to attend. Linda’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
