Garett Lee of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away suddenly on May 26, 2016, at 33 years of age. Born on August 24, 1982 in Prince George, BC, Garett is survived by his daughter, Gabby Maria Lee of Consort, AB; father Ken Lee of Kamloops, BC; mother Julie Pixton of Kamloops; sister Bobbi-Jo Lee of Kamloops; brothers Jay Aulenback of Slave Lake, AB and Chris Aulenback of Slave Lake, AB; grandfather Richard Lee of Kamloops, BC; grandmother Rose Lee of Kamloops; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Garett was predeceased by his grandfather Ronald Pixton of Prince George, BC and his grandmother, Catherine Pixton.
Garett worked hard on the oil rigs as a driller. He enjoyed lacrosse, hockey, BMX, skateboarding, played guitar and drums, and liked a spice rum every now and then. He was a great father and son, and a wonderful friend to many people.
A viewing will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Drake Cremation & Funeral Services, 210 Lansdowne Street, Kamloops, BC. A gathering to Celebrate Garett’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Desert Gardens, 540 Seymour Street, Kamloops.
