1952 – 2016
Michael Edward LaPierre of Kamloops passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 63 years of age. He is survived by his loving wife Rita, children, Michael JR and Misty of Kamloops, and grandchildren, Malaki, Charlotte, Shadow and Kaydence. Siblings, Wendy(Lloyd), Doucette, Edward LaPierre and mother, Gertrude LaPierre. He will be forever loved and missed by all his nieces, nephews and many other relatives. Predeceased by his father, Edward James LaPierre.
Mike moved to Kamloops and began working for the city in 1974 in the Garbage Collection Department working his way up to By-Law Supervisor from which he retired in September 2006. He was very involved in the sporting community and made many friends through coaching Jr. Football, playing rec hockey as well as playing and coaching slow pitch and moved on to become an SPN umpire. Mike met the love of his life in 1980 and married in 1981. Over the next 35 years they experienced many things together but nothing more important than raising their children Mike JR and Misty. He also took great pride in his grandchildren and over the past year was able to build a lifetime of memories with them. Mike will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Service will take place at 1:30pm on Friday September 9, 2016 in the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church with Pastor Harold officiating.
