August 23, 1934 – March 31, 2018
Edward Korolik passed away at the age of 83 on March 31, 2018 at Royal Inland Hospital after a brief illness. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Beverley, his sisters Nellie Seniowski of Burnaby and Alice (Vlad) Romanchych of Mississauga, along with his three children Alan Korolik of Kamloops, Donna (Dennis) Chmielewski of Edmonton, and David (Julie) Korolik of Fort McMurray, 8 grandchildren and 9 nieces and nephews. Ed was born in Entice, Alberta on August 23, 1934. He moved to Vancouver, BC when he was 16 and worked for Woodward’s Department Store in various positions for over 20 years. In 1972, he moved to Kamloops and bought Carlton’s Cleaning Carousel (the laundromat on Seymour Street) which he owned for over 20 years as well. Ed was always around for family, friends, and neighbors to fix things, loan tools, provide repair advice, and rig something up. He enjoyed many years at the cabin on Heffley Lake, as well as hunting and fishing. People that knew Ed will miss his sense of humour, his positive outlook on life, and his quiet wisdom.
