Komori, Matsutoshi "Mush"
Posted Apr 15, 2016 | 3:12 AM
Passed away peacefully on April 10, 2016 at the age of 85.
Predeceased by his wife Miyeko of 58 years and survived by his son Victor (Penny), daughter Sharon (Norman), son Andy and grandchildren Brett (Ashley), Ryan (Kelsey), Emy and Damon.
Born in Vancouver and lived most of his life in 70 Mile House; he devoted his career to Komori Lumber until he retired in 1977. Adventurous, fearless and gregarious, he and Mom travelled by car to Mexico and Arizona during the winter seasons for several years afterward forming lifelong friendships. He loved to fish and during the summer months lived in a trailer by a lake in pursuit of “Walter”, the big one. When not in his shop at home, he spent countless hours outdoors, tying flies, socializing with campers and sharing his love of fishing with his grandchildren. He was also an accomplished handyman and enjoyed creative endeavors constructing small furniture. He will be remembered for his energy, spirit and generosity.
He will be missed by many but never forgotten.
