Koblun (nee Oien), Marguerite "Honey"

1941 – 2017
On April 16, 2017 Honey passed away at Kamloops Hospice after a lengthy illness. She was 76 years of age. Born on March 1, 1941 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Honey was a resident of Kamloops and Barriere Honey is survived by her husband, Melvin Koblun; son, Laurie Koblun; daughter-in-law Crystal; and grandson Jaxon Koblun, as well as her brother, Larry Oien. Honey was predeceased by her mother and father, Lorena and Lawrence Oien; and sister-in-law Linda Feere, all from Kamloops.
Honey graduated from the Duffy School of Business and was a legal secretary for Roger Webber. She touched many lives as the secretary at Barriere Elementary School, and was the librarian/secretary there as well. In her non-work time, Honey enjoyed outdoor life (especially camping and fishing). She loved to travel, to read, and she enjoyed curling.
Honey will be remembered for all the good friends she met over the years, who touched her life and helped her to make life so enjoyable. She loved to spend time with her grandson Jaxon and enjoyed watching him grow.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Marguerite “Honey” Koblun on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Barriere Lions’ Hall.
