1941 – 2016

Sophia Hendrina Keuris of Kamloops, passed away on June 30th 2016 at 74 years of age. Sophia is survived by her loving husband Pieter and brother in law Ruud Keuris and sister in law Julie and their daughter Birgitte and dear nephew Mark Jelten, his wife Hannah and son Adam whom all reside in the Netherlands. Also survived by, children Branko Keuris of Adams Lake, Gunnar Keuris of Anglemont, and Jovanka Keuris of Sooke, Vancouver Island. She also leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren Dan, Kelsey, Brandon, Jessica, Brianna, Chayla, Cherese and Darian also great grandchildren, Lachlan, Jackson, Ember and Shane.
Sophia and husband Pieter immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in 1966 with their oldest son, Branko. Moving first to North Vancouver where Pieter was working for Kodak and Sophia was administrator of an excavation company. Later they moved to Pitt Meadows where they had their 3 fantastic, nature, respecting children, Gunnar, Jovanka and Branko. Finally settling in wonderful Kamloops where they retired and resided since.
