It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ken Orobko on Dec. 8, 2023 at the age of 71.
He will be remembered & dearly missed by his father Walter Orobko, his sister Gwen Buschau, brother in law Doug Buschau, his 2 daughters, Tokla Moreau (Bob) and Lana Hawkins (Tom) and nephew Blake Buschau & his family.
Ken was predeceased by his mother Jean Orobko in 2017.
Born April 9, 1952, in Manitoba and raised in Flin Flon, Manitoba, where he attended school and was later employed by Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting where he apprenticed and worked as a Bricklayer and after moving to B.C. he apprenticed and then worked as a Red Seal Millwright.
He was a devoted outdoors man who loved to fish, hunt and scuba dive and to go boating on Shuswap Lake in his 26 ft. small cabin cruiser. He was always prepared for emergencies with his survival gear & top notch first aid kits.
Ken’s departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever.
