August 12,1932 – June 24, 2016

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph Kenkel on June 24, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Left to cherish Joe’s memory are his five children Norm (Nicole), Lorain (Bruce), Joe, Dave (Glenda) and Tom (Pam), brother Ralph, many grand children, nieces, nephews and friends. 
Joe was born in Flin Flon, MB and moved with his family to Haney B.C. when he was young and he always considered it his home. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1950, married his beloved Grace, became a Commissioned Officer and retired after a 37 year career that saw him travel the world. Dad loved the water and would go swimming at every chance, for hours at a time. He golfed well into his later years and always listened to his outlaw country music. 
Respecting Joe’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.

Joe and Grace’s ashes will be interred, together again, at The National Military Cemetery at Beechwood in Ottawa, Ontario with a military honour guard.
