June 2, 1952 – July 28, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of June (Hargraves) Buchanan, on July 28th, 2022, in her 71st year.

June is survived by her husband Douglas; her sons Douglas George Jr. (Debra), Shawn; her grandchildren Christopher, Jessie (Joshua) Mullin, Nyx, John, Liam; her great-grandchildren George and Penelope Mullin. She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford Hargreaves and Geraldine Pollitt.

June was born on June 2nd, 1952, in Port Arthur, Ontario. She married her high school sweetheart, Douglas Buchanan in 1970 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. They welcomed their sons Douglas George Jr. on April 14th, 1971, and Shawn on May 5th, 1972.

June enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and her pets. She always provided love and support for her family. June and her husband Douglas worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their sons and grandchildren.

While June’s family grieves her loss, they have chosen to remember her in a way that honors her spirit. No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
