April 15, 1944 – July 27, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Ellen Paulsen (Whitburn). Judy passed away peacefully with her husband Al by her side on July 27th 2022.

She was a loving wife to Al for 57 years and a loving mother to Jennifer (husband Bart Leeuw and grandchildren Berkley and Brandon), and Alden Paulsen all from Kamloops.

She was predeceased by her brother David Whitburn, August 2017.

Judy was very well known for her love of animals and amazing green thumb in the garden. There is not a bird in all of Kamloops that will not feel the lack of her presence.

She also volunteered for many years with the Elizabeth Fry Society and the local Emergency Support Services. (ESS)

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your local SPCA in her name.

The family would also like to thank the doctors and nurses of 6 North at Royal Inland Hospital for their compassion and hard work. A very special Thank-you to Dr. S. Aloudat, for your kindness.

‘For at least a little while the flowers in the garden won’t be as colorful, and the bird’s song won’t be as sweet. But one day the colors will come back and the songs will be sung and we will meet again’.

We love you Judy, Mom, Grandmum and we miss you in every way.

There will be no funeral as per Judy’s request.
