Just an old submariner;
He was just an old submariner;
you see them now and then telling stories with his buddies of when they were younger men. Creative recollections of when they were strong and bold. Escapes that they recall but are best left and untold. Yet more than old submariner‘s, they are brothers of the phin. Those who’ve earned their Dolphins are forever welcomed in. And when they finally cross the brow on their eternal leave all their brothers everywhere take time to mutely grieve. Its true the flag at city hall will not fly at half mast but lots of old submariner’s will be thinking of the past. And reciting with his buddies as they sing the final hymn he was just an old submariner but we shall remember him.
