John William Wozlowski, 83, of Kamloops, British Columbia, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026.
John was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Caroline and Morris Wozlowski and was raised in Prince Rupert, B.C. He dedicated 32 years of his career to CN Rail, working as a conductor. Trains were not only his profession but his lifelong passion, and he took great pride in his years on the railway.
John was known for his social nature and love of community. Over the years, he was an active member of his local skydiving club and 5-pin bowling league, forming many lasting friendships. After retirement, he continued to stay busy and give back by volunteering at the Kamloops Wildlife Park and the Kamloops Heritage Railway, combining his love of animals and trains with his generous spirit.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Cathy Wozlowski; his daughter Sharlene Wourms and her husband Justin Wourms; his two granddaughters, Anabelle Wourms and Sophie Laird; his son Aaron Wozlowski and Aaron’s partner, Brad McKay; his sister Irene Zak; his brother Joe Wozlowski; and his many nieces and nephews.
John will be remembered for his warmth, his dedication to family, and his lifelong love of the rails.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Schoening Funeral Service, 513 Seymour Street, Kamloops.
