March 30, 1992 – February 17, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cody Daniel Jaumann on February 17, 2018 at the age of 25. Cody is now in the loving arms of his grandparents, uncles and father on the other side.
He is dearly missed by his mom, Sylvia with whom he had a very close and special bond. Cody was raised by only his mom who he lovingly called Mumma. His Oma was also a beloved person in Cody’s life especially during his young years when he would go spend time with her and Grandpa in Salmon Arm.
Cody was talented and musically gifted. He could pick up any instrument and master it within a very short time. A music visionary, Cody wrote, sang, played guitar and recorded music as well as launched an online rock radio station, where he was known as “Desert Dan”. He created a massive community online where fellow rock listeners from all over the world can hang out and enjoy good music.
Cody was a happy and goofy guy who was a rock for his entire network of friends. He touched many lives and has left family and friends with broken hearts, especially his two best buddies Ben and Trevor.
There will be no service as Cody was a humble guy who never enjoyed being the centre of attention and many of his friends are located elsewhere. Please remember Cody by saying a special cheer and playing his favourite rock songs. As long as the music keeps playing, his legacy lives on. Cody is now jamming with his favourite rock stars from the past.
Unending gratitude to Nicole, Scott and Haillie who have been so helpful and supportive during this difficult time. Also a special thank you for the kind assistance from his co-workers Benton and Amanda and to the RCMP in locating Cody and support afterwards.
A private memorial will be held in the spring to scatter Cody’s ashes.
