James William Oliver

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of James William Oliver, of Kamloops, BC, passed away on April 30, 2016 at 86 years of age.
James was predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn Oliver (nee Gray), in 2010. His is survived by his children Wendy (Siraj) Din of Vernon, BC, Melody (Kari) Koivisto of Indian Head, SK, Debbie (Dave) Bell of Quesnel, BC, and Jimmy (Deb) Oliver of Ft. McMurray, AB. Also left to cherish James’ memory are his grandchildren Ismail, Shah, Jan, Matthew, Steven, Orlena, Evelyn, Amie, Darcy, Angie, James and Dylan, as well as great-grandchildren Matthew, Taai, Keyaan, Olivea, Maycee, Ben, Clayton, Cole, Bryce, Kailey, and Adley.
Jim (as he was known to his friends) was a long time resident of the Ashcroft Area, and an employee of Highland Valley Copper. He retired in 1990, and spent 20 years of life with his loving wife Evelyn, enjoying travelling, fishing and visiting with friends & family. Four years ago Jim moved into Riverbend Manor, where he made many good friends. Jim has always been known for his sense of humor, and joking nature. He will be sadly missed, but many smiles will come to the faces of those remembering him.
There will be no service as requested, and donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
